Community Code of Conduct
2Quiet2Market fosters an online community where people work on improving their marketing. This page describes acceptable behavior and the culture we want to encourage there.
Published:
The 2Quiet2Market Community is a place where entrepreneurs meet who want to improve on their marketing while having other things to do. They are founders or other kinds of entrepreneurs to whom marketing doesn't come naturally.
We value the participation of each member of the 2Quiet2Market community and want all members to have an enjoyable, fulfilling experience. All members are expected to show respect and courtesy to others while they are active on the community site, or while they have video/audio meetings there, or while the community has an in-person meeting somewhere.
Everyone who participates in community activities must adhere to the following Code of Conduct. Organizers will enforce this code.
Our standards
The 2Quiet2Market Community is dedicated to providing a positive experience for everyone, regardless of age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, ethnicity, nationality, race, or religion (or lack thereof), education, or socio-economic status.
Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment include:
- Being kind to others
- Behaving professionally
- Using welcoming and inclusive language
- Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences
- Accepting constructive criticism graciously ("critique, don't criticise")
Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:
- Sexual language and imagery in any venue, including online or in-person
- Violent threats or language directed against another person
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
- Insults or put-downs
- Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or exclusionary jokes
- Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
- Unwelcome physical contact
- Sustained disruption of discussion channels, talks or other activities
- Any other behavior that violates the Mattermost Acceptable Use Policy. This is added here because our community site runs on the free, open source version of Mattermost which is very generous of their developer community. Let's respect them as well!
Participants asked to stop any inappropriate behavior are expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, the community organizers will take appropriate action. This may include:
- Verbal warning
- Removal from the community
- Disinvitation from future activities
